Prospective Plant Parent: Boston Ferns are great for those plant parents interested in giving their plant babies a little extra love and attention.
Difficulty: Intermediate. Ferns can be a bit finicky, however, learning how to take care of a Boston Fern isn’t difficult, just specific.
Lighting: Boston Ferns need bright indirect light in a room that is cool, but not cold. They cannot survive in low-light or harsh direct light.
Watering: Boston Ferns need to have their root balls damp at all times. Although the Boston Fern is the most drought-tolerant fern, it does not like to have its soil completely dry out.
Humidity: Found naturally in rainforests and swamps, Boston Ferns love humidity and moisture. If your Boston Fern is not located in a humid room, mist the leaves in between watering to keep your plant hydrated and supple.
Temperature: Boston Ferns prefer indoor temperatures between 60-75 degrees, so if you are comfortable, it is comfortable.
