Lighting: Calathea Medallions love medium to high indirect light. Prone to sunburns, Medallions do not want too much direct sunlight on their leaves.
Watering: Native to the Brazilian rainforest, Calathea Medallions love warm, humid environments. During the summer, water to keep the soil damp, but never soggy. In the winter, only water when the topsoil is dry to the touch.
Humidity: Mist leaves regularly if your plant lives in a dry room. If the leaves begin to brown, they probably need more humidity or they could be sensitive to the chlorine and fluoride in your tap water. If browning occurs, allow tap water to percolate overnight before watering or spritzing.
